On the 24th of February the Chair of NASAA Organic, Tim Marshall, wrote to you advising of the proposed timeline and process to undertake the review, including the opportunities for member consultation.

With all best intentions to complete the full review before a Special General Meeting proposed to be held in August 2023, the Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) have now extended the timeframes, ensuring sufficient time for full Member consultation.

The CRC have identified relevant constitutional clauses that need possible change following a Governance review of NASAA’s procedures in 2022, including unsuccessful motions that were put forward at 2020-2022 AGM’s. The CRC believes that revisiting these motions is an important consideration in acknowledging the issue they were drafted to address.

We would also like to invite you to consider your experiences as a member in other organisations and provide input into Constitutional changes you believe would benefit our organisation and membership.

Please find attached the Proposed Amendments NASAA Constitution Paper outlining the identified issues and options for amendment. We are inviting you, as our valued member, to provide feedback and input for additional issues and recommendations.

NOTIFICATION OF AMMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION REVIEW PROCESS:

Please return the Proposed Amendments NASAA Constitution Paper feedback form by 28 August 2023 to Alexandra Mitchell, General Manager NASAA Organic on Alex.Mitchell@nasaa.com.au or by post to:
