Mark Anderson, Chair
Mark is a strategic thinker with a 30 year history in senior management and CEO roles in the environment sector. His experience has centred on NGO management, development, structure and systems with senior roles in the Wilderness Society, Greenpeace, Greening Australia, Conservation Council SA and well as a term as General Manager of NASAA and NCO.
He lives on a property in the Adelaide Hills with his partner, their son, 7 donkeys, 5 horses, 2 goats, 2 dogs, 9 chickens and an unknowable number of bees. |
Tim Marshall, Director
Tim has been a leader in organic agriculture and certification in Australia for 45 years and a significant contributor to organic standards and certification in worldwide forums.
Tim has worn many hats at NASAA over the years, he co-founded NASAA in 1986, first chairperson 1986-1988, board member until 1997, certification coordinator 1990-92 and Inspector 1990-2004. He was also the first Organic Guarantee System Coordinator for the world peak body in organics IFOAM in 2001.
Tim founded TM Organics Pty Ltd in 2006, which was the main organic consulting and training company in the Asia-pacific region. TM Organics is now closed but he operates as a sole trader doing very similar work.
Tim has worked with some of the largest agriculture enterprises in Australia, including the largest producers of wine grapes, apples, mangoes, avocados, and very large producers of wool, beef, and nuts. In Asia Tim has worked with large cooperatives consisting of thousands of small-scale coffee, tea, cocoa, coconut, and spice producers.
Tim is excited about the role organics will play in the future creating a healthier environment and better health outcomes. |
Simon Jones, Director
During his childhood in England, Simon was taught the principles of organics by his grandfather in the family market garden
Throughout Simon’s career in Australia, he has held diverse roles in organics from miller, baker and lab technician, as well as landscaper, paddock to plate partner and owner of an organic ice cream business.
With his passion for organics, Simon is a leader in his community, having started a local organic community garden, and served many years on the local council and business association, where he still continues to contribute in working on green initiatives. Simon is also involved with the Organic Consumers Association of Australia, having held the position of Chair since 2020.
Simon’s dedication to organics continues, with time spent at his family home mentoring on the production of biochar and organic wine. |
Kim Morgan, Director
Kim is an experienced Director, skilled in negotiation, business planning, international business, market entrance strategies and marketing, as well as export and import compliance and relationship management.
As the founding Director of mOrganics, Kim is actively engaged in consulting. Having organised and lead the Annual Organic Trade Mission into the U.S Kim has established a strong network of contacts. These include, but are not limited to, industry leaders, Organic Trade Groups, certifiers, buyers, decision makers, business owners, wholesalers, and distributors, along with organic and regenerative farmers and ranchers.
Kim’s expertise in consulting has assisted many organic businesses to successfully launch into the U.S in ecommerce and retail (including Whole Foods Market), and be included in listings of national distributors, such as UNFI and KeHE.
With a degree in Marketing, and numerous modules of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) course completed, Kim is a well educated professional, who has a history of infinite passion for organics. |
