Dear NASAA Organic Member,

As you may know, our General Manager, Alex Mitchell left us a couple of months ago to pursue a career with the Federal Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry.

After an extensive search I am pleased to announce that we have now appointed her replacement – Dr Damien Rankine.

Damien has held Senior Leadership positions for the past 8 years in companies providing support services to the food and beverage industries.

Operating at a Head of Department level he has overseen a range of activities, including research & development (R&D), business development, product development, regulatory compliance, manufacturing, warehousing and safety (WHS), including responsibility for multi-site operations and up to 50 staff.

I am also very happy to disclose that Damien has become an Adelaide Hills resident recently,  living on 22 acres in Piccadilly, and converting the nut and fruit orchards he has inherited to organic production.
